Default Dilemma...

Ok so my car is going in for surgery and I was gonna do an ls6 intake "while he was in there" for no extra charge....but now I read up about this weiand street warrior and all the "hype" on it....I know companies blow alotta smoke during production time...but honestly do you guys think it is worth waiting another 3 months or more for?

I would say for the money, go with the LS6 intake, but if you are curious, what's another 3 months going to hurt considering where you live?

Thats true...only problem is my car is going under the knife in late February for a cam install....figured might as well do both at once. I can wait till march but I hope they dont have production delays.

I see. Well, until the real numbers come in, none of us know what the weiand will really do. They have pretty lofty claims, but I'm a skeptic until the dyno numbers come in. Look at it this way, if you go with the LS6, you can always change it later. Buy a used one. You won't lose any money on it if you decide to sell it later.

Yea but if the numbers they claim hold true the market will be flooded with used LS6 and FAST intakes...theyd become like the LS1 intake which you can get like $30 for.

I seriously doubt that the LS6 intake manifolds will drop much. If they do, I will buy one in a heartbeat. As for the new Weiand providing that much more, I doubt it. The LS6 manifold seems to hold up quite well to its competition. But if you do the LS6 now and decide to go with the Weiand in 3 months, I’ll buy it from you….for $30.

Thanks,

Clayton from Las Vegas

Swapping the manifold is no big deal to do. It only takes a couple of hours to change, I'd wait. I'm also curious about the Weiand.
