Default Another Headlight problem...

Ok,

I read pretty much all the posts on possible headlight problems, HID post upgrades needed and possible solutions....This one got me.

My car is a 98 C5 coupe and the previous owner had it for almost 10 years putting only 35K on it..
It came with a GAS FILL log where he documented EVERY TIME he got gas, how many miles, gallons, date and money...

It was amazing to see how cheap it was to fill it up..And doing Miles divided by gallons i could see how he got on average 25 MPG+!!!

Back on topic...............

My left headlight (driver) all of a sudden would not go down.....

No gear noise...Smooth operation manually and fuses were ok..

Pulling the battery terminal out and back on, the headlight worked well again...

All of a sudden BAM! it's stuck closed again...

I manually opened it....Pulled the motor and checked the gears (both MINT) but added some new grease...
Added the washers to the LEFT side ONLY as specified in a TSB and even changed the stoppers which looked ok to begin with and no dice!

There is a micro circuit breaker in the passenger fuse panel and can't tell if its gone bad.....

Any ideas????????

2
Disconnect the inoperative (left/right) headlamp connector.
Connect a DMM between the headlamp connector terminal A and terminal B.
Turn the headlamp switch to the ON and then the OFF position.
Measure the voltage at the DMM in both of the headlight switch positions.
Is the voltage within the specified values?
10.0-14.0V
Go to Step 11
Go to Step 3

3
Disconnect the headlamp opening door actuator control module connector C2.
Connect the positive lead of the DMM at the inoperative headlamp connector terminal B.
Connect the negative lead of the DMM at the headlamp opening door actuator control module connector terminal:
Left Side = terminal A
Right Side = terminal D
Measure either of the following circuits for continuity between the headlamp connector and the headlamp opening door actuator control module connector.
Left Side = CKT 576
Right Side = CKT 578
Is the relative circuit continuous between these two terminals?

Connect the positive lead of the DMM at the inoperative headlamp connector terminal B.
Connect the negative lead of the DMM to ground.
Measure either of the following circuits for continuity to ground.
Left Side = CKT 576
Right Side = CKT 578
Is the relative circuit shorted to ground?
--
Go to Step 9
Go to Step 6

6
Connect the positive lead of the DMM at the inoperative headlamp connector terminal A.

Ok, so now BOTH headlights won't go up or down.....
Turns out the micro-breaker is actually for the BULBS, not the motor...I'm lost here...

Could the module have gone bad? I've seen them on ebay but have no idea where it's located...

The module is located under the right headlamp on the headlamp bracket.
