Difference between 98 LS1 block and LS6 block
I'm sure this has been over done but can't seem to find the info using the search.
What if any are the differences between the early LS1 blocks and the LS6 blocks?
Are the later LS1 blocks the same as LS6? I have easy access to a 02 Camaro engine and wonder if it's worth picking up for later use on a stroker.

The primary difference in the 2001 up LS6 block vs the early 97-00 blocks was the introduction of bulk head ports to reduce crankcase pressure. I think the 2001 and up blocks were the same for the LS1 and the LS6.
