Has anyone installed a Granatelli MAF? Also, what kind of HP/Perfomance gains can I expect from a stock 2004 coupe after adding the following: Dual cone intake with Granatelli MAF, Air Bridge, Coupler, Velocity stack, and modded Z06 Ti exhaust? Any problems or codes that could be encountered? THanks!
I have a Granatelli twin -flo CAI It works fine---All of them are about the same to tell you the truth--HOWEVER--ANY aftermarket MAF will cause you nothing but headaches--best advice would be to use the stock one---with the screen installed if it came with one---Stock MAF's are good for 500 HP--so no need to ever change it really- You can get an aftermarket MAF to work--but it takes hours and hours of logging and callibrating to get one right--It's really not worth the effort as it at best offers only a 2-4 HP increase when working properly--you'll get codes--surging--idles problems-- & if it's an auto , shifting problems ***** do a search on this forum and you'll read much more about them ****

There's no reason to replace the sensor itself. If you have to fiddle with it, replace the housing. It's HIGHLY suggested that you get the car street or dyno tuned if you do this otherwise you'll run lean.
for the cost of a MAF sensor, you can easily get an X pipe installed. I'd also suggest dumping the velocity stack and investing in a ported Throttle body. The velocity stack principle simply doesnt' work. It reduces the cross-sectional area of the intake at the throttle body. The supposed turbulance is insignificant and is reduced with a ported throttle body.
