Default Exhaust Question

I know this has been discussed to great lengths but I'm ready to purchase my new exhaust in three weeks and I would like to make sure that I'm making the right decision.
Here's my thoughts:
I like to hear what my engine is doing. The sound of an older C2 with side exhaust is music to me.
So, loud is good!
But, reality does play a part of this equation:
The wife and I take about six road trips a year in the Vette and what I consider as a nice sound would be considered as noise to the wife.

I'm thinking of getting the PRT system from B&B. I'll leave the headers, CATS and cross over stock.

From inside the car, with the windows up: (99 hard top with 6 speed)
With the car stopped and idling, the sound is not much louder than the stock muffler?
Under slow (easy) acceleration, the sound is not much louder than the stock muffler?
Traveling at a constant 70/75 miles per hour in sixth gear, the sound is not much louder than the stock muffler?
Slowing down: (without down shifting) the sound is not much louder than the stock muffler?
But:
Under WOT you'll know this is not a stock muffler and YES it's loud!

Can you tell me if the five scenarios that I listed above are accurate?

Sound can be a very subjective thing. As always, if posible, try to listen to a car like yours with a similar exhaust. I grew up in the muscle car era and I know sound is a factor in enjoying your car. Not happy with the present exhaust I debated for a period of time between Corsa's and PRT's and went with the PRT's. I am happy with them and have gotten compliments on the sound. I thought Corsa's had a more of a "tinny" sound of those I heard. Some will disagree and I do understand they are popular and the company apparently is a reputable bunch.

To answer your questions:

Stopped you can hear the exhaust inside but nothing annoying or harsh. If you stand behind the car there is a definite sound difference.

Under easy acceleration the sound is louder, which is to be expected, but again not harsh. Enough so you know it is there and will get some attention.

At cruising speed you can hear the exhaust. To me it doesn't take much to get use too, my wife and I can easily carry on a conversation and no problem hearing the tunes. The annoying part comes if we have cruise on and go up a long slow incline. You can hear a steady drone of the motor pulling but is quickly remedied by using your right foot. I haven't rode in a Corsa equipped car, but they are suppose to be quiet at cruise speed.

Slowing down and in down shifting you will hear the PRT's talk to you. Definitely louder than stock, but not annoying. We use to call it "racking off" way back when. It was kind of a badge of honor it your car and glasspacks would speak to you.

Under acceleration you know you it isn't stock. It will be another head turner. You don't have to go WOT, which Corsa owner's claim is where they sound great, but can get a good sound increase with any healthy use of your right foot. This is one of the things that attracted me. I wanted the sound but I don't go WOT all the time.

So equipped your car will be like mine and I have no problem recommending PRT's. As for my wife, sometimes I have to turn the stereo down so she can listen to the exhaust.

the scenarios you listed are very accurate for the Corsa Indys.

the Indys are louder that the corsa tourings during WOT.:D

during cruise they are as quiet as stock, they have zero interior resonance!
(unlike what I hear about the PRT's):nono:

for me, it was exactly what I was looking for.

If you want loud-- go with the Mallett carbon fiber exhaust. Ive had mine on for about 6 months now--- it is quite a head turner.!!!
