Looking for feedback - Evans Water Pump
Considering swapping to the Evans water pump since mine will be off in the spring. Looking for feedback on this pump and whether it uses the stock thermostat and thermostat housing.

I can't give you much detail other than the fact that my buddy's '03 Cobra track car has a full evans cooling system. The "magic" is in the tech behind the fluid. Knowing your attention to detail I'm assuming you've read up on the performance characteristics/advantages of the Evan's setup.

Also, the Evans pump is better flowing at low RPM and reduces/eliminates cavitation at high RPM - bottom line...best pump on the market today.

if you use evans water pump but also have an under driven crank pulley, would that cause the pump NOT to work well at idle? That is what I think I'm seeing now. I'm using normal coolant.
Do I need evans special coolant for this? Their site says no.

thats not what is noted on Thunder Racing website. It says Evans pumps are only to be used with NPG coolant.
