Default Effect of ride height on alignment?

Hi,

I just had my car lowered all the way on the stock bolts and then had custom street alignment (-1.5 deg camber front) done at that time.

The car was too low for me at that height; I just put a 3 full turns at each corner back in to raise it up a bit (but not to stock).

How much does the lowering/raising affect the alignment? How much negative camber might I lose? My guess was very little (? 0.1-0.2 deg).

Car is a C5Z if that helps.

Anybody know?

Thanks

I don't know exactly what the alignment affects are but you're supposed to drive it for a few days to settle the suspension before re-alignment anyway. So I suspect you'll need an alignment no matter what.

I would guess about that much. But it depends on how much higher the car went up.
I wouldn't worry about it to much. Can't be to far out of wack.
Some allignment shops will do a "touch-up" free of charge if your within a reasonable amount of time since the allignment. Call them and ask. Can't hurt.

You will lose very little like .2 or so. and probably nothing to sweat about.

Car didn't go back up very far--maybe 1/2"? I've found it very hard to measure as the ground is never level and the suspension does respond to this uneven condition.

I'll go back in some time to have them re-check where it's at but this isn't a tire store so I doubt there is much guarantee of the alignment so I am hoping it's not too far out.

The shop that did my allignment isn't a tire store either. I found out by chance that they do touch-ups for free after the original allignment (I think that applies only up to 1 year after the original allignment in my case). I wanted to make a change so I went back and they told me no charge.
I thought that was pretty nice of them.

That's why I mentioned that it doesn't hurt to ask them!

That would be nice. I am repeat business for these guys so maybe that will help.
