Kooks headers? $550 good deal?

If you have to "bastardize" them to get them fit, that would explain the great pricing. Those headers also look like they're burnt - I'd go with a new set for your model year and have them JetHot coated as well. I own a set of 1 3/4" Kooks - no problems with install but I did heads and other goodies at the same time.

Kooks headers as with any stainless header will get discolored from the heat. This is natural and nothing to worry about. If you're worried abou the finish, then you can always just have them ceramic coated. As far as installation, you'll have to drop the starter, that makes things alot easier. The "batwing" oil pan of the C5's is what causes most of the clearance issues.
