2.73's to 3.42's

Will a 3.42 gearset bolt into a differential that is equipped with 2.73's?

yes; but it's not a DIY project

just purchase a rear carrier with the 3.42 already installed.

Do a search - you are MUCH better off swapping the entire carrier w/ instead of trying to change gears in YOUR carrier!

Check the for sale dept. for 3:42s. They are stock in a Z06 and a lot of those guys go to lower gears. Just make sure you get one that has not been run into the ground.
