I just got mine from FedEx today and I am going to intall them tomorrow. Is there any pipes that run from the resonator to the headers or does it fit right up to the headers?? Thanks

Mine hook up to the pipes behind my cats....if you have your cats removed then you would need an extra pipe to connect them

See http://www.corvetteforum.net/c5/mmarquez/borlaview.jpg for a picture of mine with the stock pipes. You have to cut the existing pipes behind the O2 sensors and slip the front of the resonator over the cut part. I did my own and you need to measure and trial fit to get it right. I also had it welded instead of using clamps.

If your doing a new install with headers you will need new material unless you cannibalize your old pipes. In this case I would mount the resonator from the spring loaded bracket and measure (trial fit) from the front to the header collector (or rear of cats & O2 sensors). Make sure to allow for the slip joint!

Good move with the XR-1

Good luck hearing your stereo system. I love my sound system and I love my XR-1. You just can't love them at the same time.

MMarquez has good detail on the job, the only thing I can add is that my passenger rear bracket made the pipe hang lower when bolted up so I shimmed it with some washers.
You need to hear these pipes on TPIS  :smash: :smash:
