Help with P1518 code
I'm getting a P1518 code that I can reset once the PCM is powered up. However, once it shuts down I get the code on power up. When the light is on the throttle won't work, but if I reset the DICs then the throttle works fine and the light goes off, until I power down again. I took the plunge and got a new TAC but that did not help. I did notice when I replaced the TAC (battery still hooked to the PCM) that I got some flutter and a buzzing sound from the throttle actuator. It appears to be pulling power from the battery lead even though the PCM is turned off. The grounding is new and should not be a problem. Any ideas, or suggestions on how to figure this out would be really appreciated. Thanks.
