:seeya:Well, after the first powerloader shift pattern problems, Steve Cole did make a significant improvement in the reprogram.Under full throttle the cars performance IS better. No more 2-3 shift flutter or slip. The car shift at redline (6400) in 1-2 and 2-3.theres a nice chirp in the 1-2. Steve spent some time trying to find just the right values to change in the program with the GM Tech 2 data I supplied and apparently they worked for the most part. There still some tweaking to do in the 3-2 down shift but that is relatively unimportant since I always drive in D. I think there can be some improvement in the crispness of the shift but I also think the Protorque 2400 has something to do with that. With any stall speed higher than the factory 1200-1400,I really don't think I should expect the same response from the transmission/ PT converter as the stock setup. There are pluses and minuses to having the PT 2400 converter.Yes it is a great asset to have with the 3.42's. The car launches from the line like a cannon and I can spin the tires at will at any speed 0-30mph.The converter really does plant the power to the ground. The Nittos help alot. The tradeoff is the short delay in the 2-3 and 3-4 shifts. Until the converter catches up with the revs there is not much we can do. Perhaps a Transgo shift kit might do the trick,I don't know.
If any of you have a similiar combo as mine WITH a transgo shift kit I surely would like to hear from you with your experience. :yesnod:
Other wise I'm off to the track to have some fun....... :D
Re: Powerloader update...reprogrammed that is! (vstella)
I'm waiting for my powerloader from Steve now. Maybe it will be here next week. Then the car goes to Mike Norris at Norris Motorsports for the TC and gear install. Mike is also going to install heads/cam, underdrive pulleys, and headers. I have the Transgo shift kit installed already. I'll let you know how it shifts after the install. This should all be done before the 1st of the year.

You will have to give me a ride in the car after you do heads/cam as I would like to do it sometime...
Re: Powerloader update...reprogrammed that is! (R BONUS)
What effect does the shift kit have on your transmission now?
The Transgo shift kit allows the tranny to shift faster than stock. There are also extra firmness settings for the 1-2 shift inside the tranny. Mine is set to street. The lowest setting. When I shift from 1-2 at a higher RPM, I'm really planted back in my seat!! :D

That would be cool. I'll let you know when it's done.
