Polishing pads question
Hey everybody, I was wondering if anybody knows the best way to polish aluminum? I have a bench grinder and I was wondering what pads do I need and clay bars for the pads? Where do I get this stuff?
Just wondering if anybody knows how to do this stuff. I want to polish my intercooler pipes.

i use a 1 hp grinder from sears ( get the extended warranty ) and 7-9" pads. they do make buffers, but be prepared to pay double or more. for a premium price, you can get wheels and compound from eastwood. i used to get wheels ( pads ) and compound from a vendor out of tennessee until he retired. try home depot or lowes in their tool departments. also, check with a local industrial tool supply house, they carry a wide range of grinding/polishing supplies. good luck
