Was there a bad year for LS6?
I have heard a few stories that there is a couple years on LS6 to stay away from. I did a search and never came up with anything. Is there any years you wouldnt want to buy and why?

I've heard that 2001 LS6's, the first year they introduced them there were some that were oil burners. However, GM acknowledged this and performed a campain to fix the problem. Essentially they used low pressure rings and there was excess oil blowby.

Many of the Forum members have 01s that are just fine and dont suffer from the problem. It may be a good question to ask the owner if you decide that a particular 01 is right for you.
