Default ls1 track car problems help

i have a 98 camaro i bought awhile back and this past summer i busted the rearend which broke the transmission which messed up the torque converter. i replaced all the broken parts with good brand name parts but my car still wont go it will start up idle good but when i put it in drive it jumps real hard and goes dead. if i start out on grass i can spin it just a little to get it rolling and i can drive it but if i stop it will go dead again. i had a couple of people tell me its my computer telling my converter to stay locked up could that be right?

thanks
dicky

Since this is a Camaro, the best I can offer is that you need to find a "code scanner" ..... and read what DTC codes are posted in the PCM. Some auto parts stores will provide this service. Once you have the codes post them and someone may be able to help you.

Perhaps you should try an LS1 forum or a Camaro forum.
