HVAC Display light
I have a 2000 hard top with 45,000 miles. I have ownes the car since new. The Heat and A/C LED lighting has gotten so dim I can only see it at night or in the dark garage.
Any suggestions how to correct it.

Ebay has a bunch of ads to send your head unit to them and they repair all broken lights and change worn buttons and the screen for about $50 including shipping, i recently had mine done and it looks great

Do a search in here. There are small components on the board inside of it that need resoldering. If that doesn't fix it, then you need a new HVAC control head. Are the rest of your dash indicators at normal brightness during the day? Radio?

hvac temp dial
On this same unit I noticed while testing that The drivers temp dial would only go from 71 t0 73 degrees,no matter how much you turn the dial. Does anyone know if there is a soldering fix for this or is the pot bad??Or whatever they use in this hvac to controll temp. Every other function works great now!!I figured someone on this forum would have an idea

My money is on the pot, it's also the only mechanical link and that's usually the first thing to go...
