No such thing.

Anything that alters the location of the stock cat converters (which all LT headers do) is a big in the eyes of the CARB.

Go illegal, or go with shorties....those are your two options.

Shorties are your only option - unless you're like some of us the don't care too much about CARB

I'll save you the trouble of looking... there are none for late-model Corvettes (but don't let that stop you).

so does that mean that the X-pipes that move or upgrade to high flow converters are also illegal?

Yep, your convertors must have more than 60000 miles (might be more cannt find the sorce right now) and be damaged before they can legally be replaced. Its the O2 sensor distance from the exchasts valve that CARB doesnt want you to move. Just get the c5 zo6 manifold it will flow just as good as a shorty. Then get the car dyno tuned.

I agree, Z06 manifold will work just as well as a shorty ... but don't be surprised if you notice only a VERY minor increase in horsepower ... like MAYBE 2 or 3 ...

On changing cats, the CARB has altered the rules .... if you replace your cats they must be with CARB certified cats, and guess what, the CARB right now only certifies, basically, the OEM cats for 1996 and newer cars.

In other words, if you alter ANYTHING in the exhaust between the engine and the secondary heated 02 sensors ... that's against the law ... UNLESS the item has a CARB "sticker" ....

Just going by the OPs username...his 01 already has "Z06 headers"...as the exhaust manifolds were the same on all 01 and newer C5s.

right, which is why I originally bought the 01. so I should just leave my system alone and go with a simple cat back mod. Borla Stinger?

The Callaway Honker intake filter system is smog-legal, as is the K&N FIPK system. Either one will boost RWHP by at least 10, especially in combination with a cat back. I have Borlas and love em!

which intake do you have, I thought about the calloway intake but its pretty pricy for me. especially since the AFE and K&N run about half the price.

Also was contemplating installing a FAST 78MM LSX manifold as well, would this make any big enough HP gains for the money?

The FAST intake manifold is not CARB certified .... nor is the AFE intake, the K&N is certified for the LS1 engine, not for the LS6 (Z06), and same with the Callaway, OK for the LS1, not certified for the Z06.

If the OP is really concerned with CARB certification, go here to look up the EO database of the CARB .....
