from the cockpit. When you look up what does it look like. I have never seen the underside of the solid panel top. Thanks.

Its entire center section is covered with generic GM headliner fabric. Not sure if the colors vary. Mine is black as my interior is black.

Levi,

It's just an insulated fabric covering. Nothing special. Mine's black.

BTW, I finally got my MagnaFlows installed last week (seemed like I'd never get 'em on).

I've been looking at the tie-in plate and it sure doesn't seem like I can just use one of the aftermarket radiused exhaust plates to cover it.

Shawn at LAPD mentioned in one of the exhaust threads that LAPD is looking to see if they can figure a way to mount the system without the plate.

Once I got used to it, I really don't mind it and it definitely keeps the tips well aligned and makes the whole assembly very stable. I tried to move the tips and they are solid as a rock.

Still, I'm going to play around with it this weekend. One thing I already thought about was to re-anodize the plate black so it doesn't stand out so much.

We bought a CNC mill here at work a couple of weeks ago but haven't set it up yet. When we do, I'll have in-house capability to do custom machining so that may be the answer.

Those MagnaFlows kick azz, don't they?

Ed

Thanks for the replies.

Patches, yes those Magnaflows do kick some serious butt. Keep me up-to-date on the plate. I'm interested to see what your noggin can crank out when you get that CNC set up :D. Keep in touch.
