Stock there is not adjustment because the correct lifter preload is built in by GM. If you start changing parts, then you need to worry about wipe pattern on the valve stem and lifter preload but with stock rockers (or an aftermarket fixed fulcrum rocker) the method of adjustment is through shimming and not the pushrod itself.
As for tightening the rockers, there is a very specific sequence that is used to prevent overloading the rocker bolt threads and ensuring the bolts are correctly preloaded.
