Hypertech power programmer 111
10-12 rwhp and around 15rw torque thru the low and mid range.. 93 octane pump gas is not enough in the summertime when the RFG fuels are used.. You will get some god awful pinging and the computer will bump down the timing, making the hypertech worthless.. You are better off getting a professional tune for $300-$400. LS-1 edit is a popular tuning software.. Anyhow.. I bought mine used on this forum, when I first bought my car (bone stock). The parts for sale section had several of them. $100.00 is what I paid, and thats a good deal. Its very easy to use.. Just make sure your car battery is fully charged, as the hypertech will run it down quickly.. I liked some of the features such as being able to adjust the fan settings, and firm up shifts, as well as adjust shift points.. Its very easy to use.. The programmer prompts you through a series of yes or no questions for all the parameters... Or you can leave them stock or change them back to stock very easily.. If you plan on doing no modifications to your engine.. the Hypertech is alright if you can find a used one for $100.00... If you are going to do any modifications later on... forget the hypertech or you can resell it and get your money back... The Professional Dynotune is still the way to go, whatever you descide to do.. There are so many more parameters on the LS-1 edit tuning software... and it's modification friendly.. One of our local tuners in Dallas ran a special last summer for a dyno tune using the LS-1 edit. $199.00!! Shop around, think twice before you buy one.. Hypertechs are not worth $400.00 brand new.. A dynotune is.. Also most tuners will be happy to retune you car for free when you start modding.. You will probably have to buy the parts ( heads, cam, headers) through them

You will get more benefits with EFI Live and a good tuning technicinan for sure, happy modding!if you want a handheld device, then I would go with a Predator (made by Diablosport). More people here have them and would be able to give you a lot of help.
