Best Cold Air Intake?
It might allow more air into the engine by its design vs oem. If you want to make it "colder" you'll need to enclose the filter, completely eliminating the warmer air intake from the engine compartment. The Z06 cars are improved over the C5 cars with more air flow through the front bumper. If you own a C5 you can somewhat mimic that by eliminating or cutting open your fog light enclosures for additional air flow.
Do a search this forum (in the red banner) in C5 Tech, using keywords "ice box cover". It's a molded ABS (or carbon fiber) enclosure that is specifically designed to fit snugly over the BLACKWING filter. You then have to cut the radiator shroud beneath the filter/cover to allow cooler or colder air into the intake.
I tried to find an image of the cover, but was unsuccessful. I'm not sure if it's available any longer.
