I have used it many many times at the track and is was very accurate. It was off by no more than 1/10th of a second and most of the time it was off by a mere 1/100th of a second. The MPH is little higher due to the track averages the last 66 ft and the G-tech gets the MPH at the exact end of the 1/4 mile. The key to get accurate times is make sure it is level, straight and on tight.
I have one also and have found it very accurate. The really great thing about the G-tech is that is always accurate to it self, so by doing a few runs and writing down the times you then can try mods to see if there is a difference.
Thanks guys a certain person was telling me that just because i get #'s with a gtech doesn't mean i can repeat those at the track. Looks like someone may be apologizing come spring :yesnod:
Yes, the mph are liitle higher, because it measures the actual top speed!
ET´s are very accurate.
I found out, that if you have much wheelspin, then it comes little off and shows more ET than you really get.
When I tried my new TC and tranny on my runflats I was spinning all the way from first gear to the mid of second gear.
The Gtech showed 13,4 and the actual time was 12,9.
On my ET streets run with nearly no spin it was accurate about 1 tenth then!
Very accurate as they have posted. I have also found that the HP measurment is also accurate to within 5 as long as you know the exact weight of your car. It is very sensitive to the point that if it isn't exactly pointed straight down the hood of your car, your reading will be way off. It helps to start from the exact same point in the road too, if you want to check any HP or 1/4 differences from mods.
