Just doing a quick search, it appears that the blower motor assembly is listed for 97-99 and 00-04. By the way, the blower motor assembly for a 98 is only $75 at GM parts direct.
As i remember there are more than one part number for blower motors.
I think the manual HVAC uses a different part than the Automatic one.
I blew out the control module and the ELECTRONIC one was listed over $100. I paid about $70 from a GM parts distributer. Don't just buy a paper weight. Find out what fits your car and go from there. BIGHANK
Make sure you use the GM one. Some idiot replaced my bro 99 FRC before we bought it with some other brand and it leaked like a crazy all over the BCM and shut down the car.
Don't be a cheap, you'll only screw yourself in the end. It was not fun being broken down in the middle of the highway with this problem which also caused the column to lock.

^^ If you don't do it right the first time you will end up doing it again which will cost you more time and $$$.
I am ajg1915's brother and I can tell you it was no fun being broken down at the Corvettes of Carlisle show in 100+ degree weather.
