Those are the only two I know of...I discussed this with the techs at LGM when I got my headers. They said the heat benefit was negligible and didn't feel it was worth the money; unless it was worth it to you for the appearance, that is.

Chris at ECS told me the same thing. Overall, I think any performance benefits are non-existant.
I have a friend with a GTO (LS2) that in the summer suffers from a lot of timing retard. He is convinced on getting his coated just to avoid any heat soak issues.
The only other practical thing I can think of is that coating them, will allow for cooler engine bay temps, and some components that may be affected by those temps (plug wires, starter, etc.) may last longer.
I'm on the verge of buying headers now, and still on the fence as to whether coat or not.

Obviously they've never been track side and had to replace a plug wire. The reduction in heat is noticable!
