My pwr window switch is wired backwards. Does anyone know what two wires are responsible for the polarity? There is a blue and brown
wire that go to the motor on the drivers side. Can these wires be
switched at the control box somehow? Can the wires be removed
from the connector or are those not even the right wires?
The window motor is controlled by the Driver Door Module (DDM). When you command the window, say, UP at the door switch, that command is sent to the DDM via a BROWN wire (circuit 501). The DDM then applies power to the DK BLUE (Circuit 164) wire, and grounds the BROWN (Circuit 165) wire. When you command the window DOWN via a GREY wire (Circuit 1136) from the switch to the DDM, the DDM reverses the polarity of the motor wires, grounding the DK BLUE wire and applying power to the BROWN wire.
Unless you can see clear evidence that someone has re-wired the system, I'd look into whether there are any codes or other issues with the DDM or the Door Switch.
