Yes, Viprkir, you can jack up only one wheel at a time using one of the four jack points on the side frames. For major comvenience some us have purchased low profile jacks, that will allow us to slide the jack under the jack points equiped with a hockey pucks and jack up only one corner of the car at a time if that is desired. The jack that I bought for this is a DK20 from Automotive Service Equipment Co. 1-800-229-6218. It is an excellent jack that costs about $234. Good luck with your C5. :cool:

Can this jack reach the front cross member or do you need to go with the DK13HLQ which has a lower overall profile and longer reach?

Okay, I will confess... I got a "cheap" AC Delco jack from my local O'Reilley's Automotive store. It wasn't the $30 variety... more like $60. It is a 2.5 ton jack and does the job quite well. I too only use it for taking the wheels off. That jack along with a pair of jack stands and some wood pieces to protect the sub-structure is all I need. Works like a charm... however it won't clear the front air dam... need to drive up on some planks. Maybe Santa will bring me a nice, low profile jack? :D :D :D :cheers:

:eek: If she was strong enough to lift a 3.5 ton jack into her car, why not just have her hold your Corvette up (with one hand?) while you work on it?! She sounds like a BIG help. ;)
