Considering a 228R from Texs Speed. Will be installing Kooks LT with X-pipe, LS6 intake and Halltech Venom-stock LS1 heads for now. Their cam kit is priced within my budget. Anyone have any eperience with this cam, or have any other receommendations? Car is a weekend driver, no track use or drags.

this cam is well liked on 'that other site'
hope you are running a 6 spd.
by cam kit I assume you will be changing springs/prods.
will this cam be on a 112cl?

should be a very nice weekend setup

Yes. Have a MN6, will be changing springs and push rods, and will be a 112LSA. Think I'll go ahead and order. Thanks.

i would say that you would have to have a stall. It would have idle issues when you put it in gear and it would probably hurt the low end with an auto with the stock converter

If you're fluent in Chinese or "crypto", yeah, it helps a lot.

Go bigger, for real. 232/236 ish would be the way I would have gone if I could do it again. BTW-I have a 224/228 114lsa now. It makes good power and is very streetable, but wish it was a bit bigger.
