Anyone know where or how much it would cost me to put a full cage in a C5 coupe for road racing? I am going to be building a street/track day toy very soon, meaning everything not essential will be stripped. I just do not know anyone close that builds full cages. Help?
It was around a thousand bucks for the Wolfe 6pt. CrMb install for me. So I'd ballpark 20 hrs minimum labor for all the other points. interior stripping takes time as well.
I've seen the product of a few 40+ hour personal cages in OKC... super smooth weld beads all around etc.
Sorry, bad habit on that one, it's right smack dab next to niobium.
Oh yea, orig poster, there are a few shops in Oklahoma City, and I'm certain Tulsa that can do the work... just give them the specs. Seriously, go hit up Intl. Raceway (isn't that the strip up there that's good?) and ask a few of the 8 second guys where they had their cage work done.
Further, Au N Egl, I never advocated the Wolfe in my post. I was merely going as a point of reference so he the op could get a baseline image going.

My ZO6 see sig below is getting a cage done in 2 weeks at Speedware in Seattle. I am having it really tucked up tight so fully custom. I will end up with my wole stock interior except the vents by the windows and stock seat belts. The cost $5500-6000. But these guys do a great job fully welded in tip out door bars, painted to match interior. They R and R the entire interior.

Phoenix Automotive in Palm, PA. races C5's and has won many SCCA championships. They install roll cages. They also do work for GM's race shop. I've been to their shop and have seen their work.
