NOW you're heading in the right direction. Good luck and I hope it's a reasonably inexpensive fix, man.

If only it was running It's still far from completed - just no time, unfortunately.

Was there any metal in the fluid when you drained it?

There were definitely some metal shavings...I'm sure there would have been more if the magnet didn't catch them.

Hey CONGRATS, I have a Quad Black '01, Take it from me, You will learn REAL Quick to be VERY Picky about who you take your car to! I took mine to a Local shop (The Owner also owns Vettes) So I THOUGHT He knew what he was doing, Just replacing the Rack, Well they WRECKED my car at the Alignment Shop, & come to find out 6 months LATER he twisted the rack removing it which "unwound" the Clock spring in the steering, (just a little) but my Steering wheel positioning censor had to be replaced. But Take it from me, the Slave was making noise in mine for a couple of months, just trying to wait (who really WANTS to be without their Vette!?! Well while driving it, the Slave SHATTERED, Parts flew into the starter, Had to have the car towed (to the DEALER this time) SO on top of the Clutch, I had to have a $300 starter! So it is really Cheaper to TRY to prevent things like that from happening!

A Corvette is SIMPLY THE MOST FUN CAR TO OWN!!!

ENJOY!

Stephen will do good with it no doubt. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to deal with all this right after buying the car.

You made the right choice, and hopefully soon you will be able to fully enjoy your purchase.
