I have already read a million posts and for some reason none of them focus on my particular problem. I have seen the posts about adjusting this screw and that bolt and such.
Anybody ever have a problem with their window wiggling from side to side.? If you grab the top of the window with your two fingers and wiggle the window side to side, it moves. For me so much it is about 1/2 inch to and from. This also creates wind noise when you get at highway speeds about 60mph because the window doesn't have enough force to seal.
I have inspected it and it appears that there are two black small plastic clips that are housed inside the metal frame. These clips are what slides along the slider tract and thus makes your window go up and down. This is where my window has play. It would appear that the clips have gone up and down so many times that they have worn a grove and removed enough plastic that gives them play.
If anyone knows what Iam talking about or where to get replacement window tract clips please chime in. If I don't get enough responses I will take the door apart again and take a picture.

You are right that the clamps that hold the glass in, ride up and down two metal tracks, and they do have plastic inserts. However, I don't think you can buy individual parts for a window regulator. They come as an assembly. If your window works fine otherwise, you might be able to get the parts off of a used regulator assembly. There are lots of windows that quit working because the motor fails long before the other parts are worn out. If yours has worked long enough to wear out some parts, you are lucky. You might also just consider replacing the whole regulator assembly with a new part, but expect to pay $200 to $400 for a new part from GM.

yeh I think I will try something else or just wait a little bit...maybe can find something in a corvette bone yard...
I have a regulator assembly out in the garage and it looks like you would have to remove the drive cables to get the inserts out. That would involve removing the cables from the gear drivebox on the motor, which could be a nightmare... You might save yourself a lot of hassle if you just wait until the motor fails and replace the whole assembly.
