Keep them set to 30/32 lbs., measured when the tires are cold. Your problem sounds like overinflation, which is not good for the tires or for handling. :yesnod: :)
I've noticed this a little as well. I have about 18K on the tires and keep the pressure at 30 psi cold. I think it may just be time for new rear tires.
if you keep your tires at 30 psi cold... and never move the car... the tread will be fine... if you set your tire pressure at 30 cold and drive the car.. that pressure will go up..... as much as 6 pounds in the summer..cold tire pressure and run temperature are two completly different animals.. who cares what tire pressure you have if the car inst moving/// its the run pressure that ids important if you seeting them cold.. and they are wearing in the middle it is obvious that 30 psi is not the right pressure... I have over 40,000 miles on my tires... with 4/32 rubber in the fronts and 3/32 in the back... I never let my tires get over 30 psi HOT.... that means I set them at 25 cold in the summer...and they heat up to 30.... and in the winter I set them at 28 psi and they heat up to 30... MY tread is even all the way across fronts an rears... mostly everyone here runs their tires too high.. 30 psi cold in the summer is way too high.. yout tire life will prove this out..
