well i just bought a 97 C5 white with red leather, with the removable glass top, i've been driving a trans am ws6 for a while so i am pretty familiar with the ls1, so first question, will the NOS 5177 kit work on the C5? i also have a fan switch from SLP will it work on the C5? if so where is the connection to plug it in? when the car is in gear there is a noise around the alternator belt or pulleys that is kind of a clattering, the car has been sitting up and the belt is dry could this be the problem with it? and lastly under the back left tire and also you car hear it in the car is a electronic buzzing noise, someone said it might be my fuel pump, has anyone else heard this and is it a bad thing? sorry this is so long, any help is greatly appreciated, Randall

First, let me welcome to the forum Randall.
As far as the nitorus kit, it is the only dry kit that NOS makes for the LS1 to my knowledge so it should work fine. You might have to buy a few parts to make it work but the bulk of it is already in the kit. BTW, I have a dry kit on mine made of NOS parts.
I am not familiar with that fan switch mod.
The noisy belt/pulley could be the belt itslef or an unlubricated accessory pulley imo. I'd check out the whole system and lube any moving parts before assuming the worst.
Yes, I think the buzzing from the back you're hearing is the fuel pump. My '99 makes a good bit of noise from there as well. I seem to recall that '97-98 models had a noisier pump, too.

Congrats and welcome to the Forum!
The '97s had a noisy fuel pump that was replaced in '98.
As far as I know, if you still have the old one, you should be able to take your Vette to your dealership and they should replace the old fuel pump with the new model free of charge even if you're out of warranty.
