Default Better fog lights

Does anyone have suggestions on fog light replacements. I have one burned out and I've always thought they sucked, not enough output. Is there a better way to go?

Or you could use the stock housings an get an HID kit......

jdmvette had a great thread showing his inexpensive conversion.

These are 50 watt clear end bulbs as opposed to the stock 37 watt black end. You then must re-aim them (they are way too low from factory), use small hole, it takes a torx (think #15).

Mine have been this way for years, I use them everytime the low beams are on, no problems.

On the other hand, these fog lights do have a great cutoff pattern and will take HID conversion well. You should be able to drive with only them after HID conversion. They should be better than converting the stock headlight lenses (they have too much scatter). Only bad thing is that the fog lights go off when the high beams are on. It would be good to re-wire these.

You could spend $100 plus for PIAA or the like but the 50 watt 885 bulbs almost let you drive without headlights. Reaim them with the torx driver thru the little hole on the shroud about 15 or 20 feet from your garage door or a wall. Use the low beams as a guide. You will be surprised at the difference. BIGHANK

Or spend about $100 for a 800 series HID kit and a dedicated wiring harness and turn thos OEM projectors into REAL lights They will blow the PIAAs out of the water and take less time to install.

I installed the higher wattage bulbs and found them to be a great improvement at low cost!

I really like the PIAA lights I put on in place of the stock lights. They light things up better than the stock low beams!

CF rules prohibit ebay links. Just search HID Kit and sort by lowest price shipped
