About to pull the transmission for a rebuild, just curious, can the transmission be removed while leaving the Tube in place?
just looking for short cuts since I wont be using a lift.

It's a piece of cake pulling the driveline as an assembly. Just did mine last month with the car on jackstands. You will need a low profile trans jack. Also helps if you build a dolly to set the cradle down on. That way you can roll it right from underneath the car.
Oh, and do yourself a favor and pick up a service manual. I followed it step by step and did not miss a single line, connector, or bolt.

I found one cable clamp they missed in the service manual but it does point out a lot of things along the way. I even made a special clip to allow the shifter bracket to slip by the brake lines. You can pull the tranny off the back of the torque tube, not sure if it would be easier or not to be honest. Check out how I aligned mine going back in, slid in with one had (literally).
I see you have Lg long tube headers.(I do also) You would need to unbolt the headers from the heads in order to have clearance to remove the torque tube, (been there) So for us it's better to leave the torque tube in. Just unbolt the three bolts inside the rear of the torque tube that connect the rear flex plate to the torque converter. you will need to support the torque tube so the top of the engine don't hit the fire wall. PM me if you want and I'll give you my cell no. and walk you through it.
I'm doing a 6-speed and I pulled the tranny off the torque tube then pulled the torque tube to replace the bushings.
I have a complete extra vette drivetrain and I had tried to put the torque tube and tranny assembly onto the engine and I never did get it to line up before I gave up trying. So, I figure pushing the tube into the clutch first will be easy since it is light and then I'll attach the tranny after.
Likely, an auto torque tube is easier to attach to the engine because there is no clutch and pilot bearing to line up to.
