Default z06 sway bars

I just bought these... I am curious if anyone else put them on. Is there a big difference?

There is a lot of folks on the forum that have Z06 sways. I bought some in the spring from GMpartshouse for $209 delivered, that is with out the endlinks as I already had metal endlinks on the car. I really like this modification. Noticeable reduction in roll on the corners. Great bang for the buck mod in my humble opinion. I'm thinking of adding C6Z06 shocks to complete the handling package.

Made the change to my 99 F45. Changed to the metal end links also. Made a dramatic difference. $$ well spent.

Yep... It's an easy do it yourself job (and I'm a do it yourself idiot by this forums standards) that you'll really enjoy..

Be sure to pop for the poly-bushings, $20. For some reason these seem to squeak with the factory ones. I painted mine red for some extra bling!

I put Z06 sways with poly bushings on my 03 Coupe (w/ F55 option). There is a lot less roll in turns and floating at speed. These work great with either of the suspension settings. I would consider this a must have mod.

The reason I was able to get these Z06 sways is my friend with a Z06 upgraded to the Pfadt sways. He loves those now.

Hi buoniconti81 -

Yes - definitely!

And you'll get even more noticeable improvement if you go with a better shock.

I put 2004 Z06 shocks on the wifes 99, along with the Z06 sways and it really sticks to the road now.

Much better over irregular roads.

You will notice the improvement, and you will like it!

best regards -

i put z06 sways on back on christmas eve. i also lowered the car on the factory bolts. WOW......best 'free' mod you can do and have noticable difference the first time you turn the wheel!! (when i say 'free' mod, my buddy gave me the sway bars and metal end-links!!)

makes circular freeway on-ramps much more fun

I went with the Z06 sway bars and shocks about 2 years ago. The ride is a bit harsher, but then again I'm lowered on stock bolts with the EMT tires. She rides pretty rough but I don't care.

Did you notice the difference in the size of the stock vs Z06 bars? Substantially thicker!
