]OKAY!, Had my new set of LG Street Headers installed yesterday. Have a problem though. Car runs like crap now!!!! Installed new wires and plugs (JD Motors did the install/Jack). I was there the whole time and nothing went in wrong (have some great pics!). Only thing that did not go in was the rear O2 sensors and I'm running now without cats. Car surges and runs real rough -at times it seems to want to stall, rpms drop to 500 then back up to 900. Any ideas? I'm having Vette Dr do a dyno tune tomorrow. Just like to know if someone else experienced this and the tune fixed it...I'm very nervous. Car ran perfect before the install.

Thanks, But I am sure they are. I watched every move and I saw the mechanic do it correctly. He even took his time running the wires so it would be very neat. I'm going back there today to have him look at it
Make sure the front O2 sensors are plugged in right side to right side and left side to left side.
Agree....every time i use to see that i use to think "how stupid do you have to be to not hook them up correctly" well after i did my header install and re looked at everything I realized I had mine swapped....:o
its a lot easier to do than I thought.....and most people that have trouble with starting after a header install have them crossed....

I hope you don't have to leave your clamps like that.
I really don't understand how you can swap the O2's. If you look at the pic you will see each connection hanging at each pipe. We did one at a time and each one went into the pipe it was hanging near. Anyways, cald ECS and going there today (hopefully..need to call them back in an hour to make sure).

should be L to L, not the physical sensor, but the wire plugs
Well, I,m not a mechanic. It looked as if each plug hung near each pipe. It was installed that way (see last pic). I don't have a lift to verify what you say so when I bring it in for a tune they can look at it. Thanks though for the heads up and I will mention this. It does sound great though when I start her up..lol

thats exactly what i thought every time i read people say to check the o2 sensor positions when the car ran like crap after a header install....
I think its because they crisscross each other and the wire from the sensor looks like its on the opposite side when they are installed into the pipe..
I never started mine but after reading many threads on "car running like crap after header install" posts i decided to check mine while it was still up on stands in the garage, and sure enough they were crossed...felt like a nitwit, but i guess it has happened to a lot smarter people than me...
