Weird Clutch Issue
So here's the storyI took the car to the track last year (KCIR). Running on street tires doing everything i coudl for a 2.0 or lower 60.. finally hooked up and pulled a 1.85 out of the hole
which was a first as i'm usually stuck with 2.01.... Anyways.. it felt awesome.. until i went to grab 2nd and herd the tear jerking sound of my tranny grinding.. I realized my pedel was stuck to the floor. So i put my foot under in hopes of saving it... nah.. it was stuck good. the pedel came up, but clutch did nothing. After pumping it all teh way down the track it finally engaged. Well.. i made a few more passes afterword
and it was ok.. not great but ok... I went home and sucked the fluid out and put fresh in... seemed a lil better but not great... went out to another track a few months later and it was sticking all over the place and catchign 3rd was almost impossible... not only this but it's really spongy.. I mean you have to push atleast half way down before you feel any pressure.
Sounds like a bad clutch right???? T bearing ?? maybe..
Well.. i got a lil down and decided to sell my car.. before doing so i changed the breaks and the o2 sensor... my car was on ramps for about a good week.. (it's really cold in my non heated non insulted midwest located garage, so i took my time) after i was done i took it for a drive.. didnt' touch my clutch... and all of a sudden it was perfect... Actually better than ever (same clutch i bought it with 2 years ago)... after a week of normal driving no racing and hardly got on it... it was right back to being spongy..
WTH is going on??????
is it a bad clutch or is there something outside of it causing my problems?

clutch flid levels are perfect and have been... what doesn't make sense is that after sitting for a week on ramps that it's magically better for a week...
I'll try a search... i usually search before posting but i'm not sure what key words to search for... ?>?sticky clutch??
I found another thread that linked to ranger. but thanks anyways plasticfan.. I appreciate your efforts. taht would have saved me alot of reading..
FYI to anyone that finds my thread later

i'll give this a try and see if it resolves my issue.. I think i'm goign to look into a braded line and some ceramic wrapping as well. If thsi doesn't resolve my issue i'll bump this later
