sounds like you have water in the clutch fluid. I would replace fluid with D.O.T. brake fluid. drain reservoir till you can just see the bottom but do not remove all of the fluid so you dont get air in the system.

Just curious, how would this get air in the system? Even if you drained it half way down the tubing to the master cylinder, wouldn't the air be pushed out when you add new fluid. I mean, there aren't any pockets for it to hide in.
