Shifter/Tranny problem

Your post/question is a bit vague in that you say you lost 3rd yet stuck using only 3rd and 4th since the shifter won't go sideways. Regardless, have you checked the shifter linkage starting at the shift level itself, all the way to the tranny insuring nothing came loose? There is an adjuster at the shifter.
All that's left past that is the tranny itself. It may cost more to rebuild it than simply getting a new one from someplace like RPM Transmissions or similar.
Last thought, are you sure the clutch is disengaging?

the only gear that goes in is 4th sorry it was a typo.
