Hey, bought this **** for aobut 50 dollars, brought it down to a shoe repair store, and had it professionally dyed black (only comes in light grey, (trust me the pics are decieving)), All in all , it looks poopie hot i think.

Looks good...How much higher is this **** over the stock ****?
I'de say mine is about 1 inch higher, I know that sucks, i'm planning on cutting the shifter down a bunch when i put in a B&M when the $$$ adds up a little.

While we are on the subject, can you guys comment on what shift ***** sit as low as possible (drilled and tapped as far as possible into the ****). I'm really wanting as short of a shifter as I can get. I am probably going to go with a Kirban. Anyone know if the Kirban, Ripper or Hurst are shorter than the others?

Well, I am finally getting tired of the rattle from the stock **** on the Ripper and I am looking for a good replacement. My first thought is the Hardbar, but I want to see some other options and get your opinions. So, please post pics if you have them or post links. Thanks!
FWIW, my Hardbar rattles on the ripper some of the time.

Well, you asked, so here's my shift ****. Pretty cool don't you think? I haven't had an ounce of trouble with it and it has never rattled. Plus, it has this cool diagram that tells me where the gears are when I forget!

I think shift ***** are a very personal items,I really didnt like anything on the market,so I made my own by buying a snooker ball (one black and one yellow)
and got my local machine shop to thread it for me (he ended up not charging
me anything because it would be like 2-3 dollars ,so I ended up buying them a 12 pack).I have also shorten my ripper,no it feels really good.
I dont have any photos, but if you still needs some,I will sent it

How about a retro look "C3" with non-functional reverse lockout?

I have the MOMO Air Race leather. I'll have to see if I can find a photo. Its sits pretty low and I'm very happy with it.

From LAPD, fifty something?
http://www.stores.yahoo.com/corvette...iftknobs1.html

Schindler, pretty sure the ripper is the shortest.
As far as low *****, the Voodoo billet (that I offered to loan you) threads
down to around 1/4" of the top of the shaft.

That could come in real handy for the drive home after a

Guys,

I think a statement made on this thread needs to be either retracted or removed completely.

Not ALL shift ***** will vibrate with the B&M Ripper Shifter.

The Hardbar Delrin Shift **** is by far the best shift **** to be used with the Ripper.

It will eliminate almost ALL if not ALL vibration associated with the Ripper.

Many have reported this and we have found the same after testing it out.

The Hardbar Delrin Shift **** is a lightweight, but relatively thick material that can absorb the vibration effectively. It also never gets burning hot or freezing cold due to the Delrin material. Shifting is made easier and most guys simply use their palm to shift through the gears.

Please do some research or personal testing before posting facts.

We are the exclusive master distributor of the Hardbar Delrin Shift ****.

Nobody but us stocks them or sells them.

Thanks!

Shawn
