who uses a spec 3+
im thinking about buying a used spec 3+ to save some money insted of the obvious favorite textralia oz700. im installing my s/c soon and am pushing pennies. who has the spec 3+ or any of theirs, and how do you like them? or how do they compare?

Changing your clutch is a great idea if your going F/I. I invested in a Spec Twin Disc setup for my next build. Right now I'm running a Centerforce Dual Friction and it holds good with 8psi. I do not luanch hard on it but it holds good for the price. The Tex is a good clutch as is the Spec I think Spec gets a bad rap because a lot people use them and possibly install them wrong. You will be fine with a Spec

I personally do NOT like the Spec Stage 3+ that is in my car. A Centerforce Dual Friction clutch will be installed in the next couple of weeks. The catch point is too high and the pedal has very little feel. Again, my personal opinion. I had a Centerforce Dual friction in a previous car and loved it to death, hence the reason for removing the Spec and installing the Centerforce. (I purchased this vette with the Spec clutch already installed.)
