Default oil pressure

Help, Iam going on a trip this weekend and my oil pressure sensor went out. Will it be safe to drive, round trip is about 500miles

I went about five months with a bad OPS. I just switched it out this weekend.

If your oil lines are good, then you should be okay. The only risk is that you won't know if you have zero pressure.

This is my frist vette a 2001 C5 LS-1 convertable what a blast. Iam seeing a small drop of oil every now and then could that be from the senor

FYI, check the sticky at the top of the C5 Tech forum for page upon page of oil pressure sensor problems and solutions. I opted for a few brass adaptors (metric to standard NPT) and a brass Buick sensor. So far (today!) so good.

Mine's been out for about 6 months. The Chevy dealer wanted around $350.00 to replace it.
