Default ? about TB's

I am really thinking about putting a cam in my 01 Z06. I already have all the other mods I need but I dont really know too much about the Throttle Bodies for this car. Can someone enlighten me on the different options I have to go with. Its got a stock LS6 intake BTW. I hear people going with stock LS2's right??? Either way, just let me know what my best all around option would be.

Also, would you guys recommend getting a lower crank pulley? Maybe a ASP 25%???

I would save your money, keep your stock 78mm TB and ship it to Mark Shaner and have him port and polish it for improved throttle response and performance. I was running a LS6 intake manifold and Shaner TB on my 383 stroker until I upgraded to the larger FAST 90 manifold - then went to the LS2 90mm TB. I'm sure you'll get several opinions - depends on all the modifications made to your car, e.g., heads, cam, headers, etc. Putting an LS2 TB on a LS6 intake? Not sure its worth the effort.

So is it not worth the extra money for a aftermarket peice?

Stock T-bodies work just fine on stocked cubed engines--A port and polish job by Shaner is all that I would reccomend--An LS2 T-body or a Fast 90/90 is an overkill for a 346--Now on a stroker they work great as the engine can use the extra flow
