Never heard or seen that feature. You may have something else going on there.

No.

No.

YES!

Best feature is being able to reprogram the doors to unlock when the car is put in park, not when the key is removed.

What, nobody has mentioned the "Gee officer, my speedometer just quit...." feature . Has anyone actually ever used it?

If my convert did not have it (when I bought it used), I would certainly have bought one.

We have 2. 1 on each of our 2 Verts.
They are a great product.
On my '01 a couple of times I have returned to find the windows down, but other wise no issues.

I bought both ours used in the C5 parts section...
I would not have paid $150 for it.

I love my TopDown chip as well! It is a MUST for any vert.

I also was able to use it to catch my son driving my car at 160 MPH!

Woah - way to bring a thread back from the dead Last post was March of 2008. This will most likely get locked soon so you may want to start a new thread.

I don't remember off hand but did you get the instructions page with your unit? It should have the steps right next to the pin number.

I guess the price is relative.

When I purchased my 2002 (In July 2001) there was no Window Valet. But, there was someting called the "Window Commander" made specifically for the C5. It did all the window raise/lower tasks via the factory keyfob as the Valet... but had to be installed in each door panel.
So I had to pull each door panel and install these boxes.

and it cost $240

The Valet's painless installation and $140 price is chump-change when compared to what was previously available.

Very little, cannot be seen. You will likely forget it is there after a while...
