Default *Valve Size??!*

Hey guys, looking to upgrade the valves. I have a s/c '04 LS6 and my machinist says I need intake valves close to 2.00", but all I am finding are ones that measure 2.020".....will these work and if so, do I need to change the valve seats or machine the head???!!

Any info will be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks,

Dustin

By upgrade I assume you mean size not quality. The lightweight LS6 valves that came in the Z06 were excellent valves.

Well, yes and no. I am not very knowledgeable on this subject that is why I am posting. I have a s/c setup and the machinist told me that my stock valves will warp or could break off due to the increase in pressure and heat?? So I was switching to stainless valves made by REV Racing....and I am having trouble finding the stock valve sizes. So far I have determined that stock ex. is 1.55" and intake is 2.00". The valves I have found are: Ex 1.57" and In. 2.020". Their not much bigger, will they work with the stock heads?

THey will work. Why don't you call Patriot Performance and have them hook you up.

Thanks! I will do that. I am still curious though, is it necessary to upgrade to the stainless valves?
