Bulb Install

So I got a pair of LED bulbs off that ever secret website ending in bay

Went into install them in my map lights and they don't work. Tried both ways due to the polarity or whatever. Am I missing something or did I just get a bad set of bulbs?

I just went and hooked up a pair of jumper cables to battery and other ends to bulbs, they both lit up so I know they work....

Ok so both of your map lights do not come on? Not just one of them? I had one go out on my '99 but it wasn't the lamp itself, rather the crimping on one of the two wires on the end of the clamps to the bulb. I don't know if there is a seperate fuse for those or not, but look for a bad fuse in the floor board fuse box next to the BCM

if it makes you feel better i installed those festoon bulbs from that same auction site with no issues.

and after finally fiddling with the clamps they sit in they worked! Just have a lot to learn about this car still...sigh. Thank God for this forum!!

Looks great now, and also put in super white's for license plate bulbs...Halfway through the install which seemed like it required tearing apart half my rear end I thought to myself "should have bought new back up bulbs too"....oh well!
