Default Need quick help with Dynatch Supermaxx Install

Quick question...I installed these on my old 2002 Z06 without any problems. Im in the middle of installing them on my 2003 Z06 and for some reason, the AIR tube on the passenger side doesnt line up!?! The connector welded to the header is on the farthest aft header tube (towards the fire wall) when it looks like the AIR tube itself lines up with the second farthest aft header tube. Because the AIR tube is solid metal and fairly inflexible, there is no way to "finess" it to line up with the hook up welded onto the aft header tube. My question is, did I get a set of headers for a different year car (97-2000)? Having done numerous header installs on various LSx motors, I realize these things dont always line up perfectly and sometimes need to be finessed into place, but this isnt even close? Anyone with these headers that can chime in, it would be much appriciated. For what its worth, the picture on the instructions that came with the headers shows the welded on connector on the tube second from the firewall.

I've put Dynamaxes on a 2001 and a 2002 and in both cases the tube was on the second to the rear tube not the the very rear tube. That sounds like a system for a 2000 or older.

yea...thats what I was afraid of...I ordered them from a forum vendor, and Ive never had a problem with any of them. Hopefully they can just send me a new passenger side header in a reletively quick fashion.

the vendor dropped the ball on this one

Just get an AIR tube from a 97-00 car and you'll be fine

They probably didn't have the later version in stock and figured you'd make do with they had

Cajundude might have a few AIR tubes at his shop in Houston

OR, you can take your current air tube, cut out a chunk of it and put in a piece of rubber hose - (cut out a middle 4 - 6 inch section of your current air tube and put in a shorter legnth of hose)
