Electrical nightmare...Help!!
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...um_id=1&arch=1
I was moving along using the pin to ground method to find the correct white wire (going to the tech). Well I pushed through a white wire don't know which one and into a red wire (hot wire). I got some sparks and a burn on my finger from the pin. I got the damage from having the ground attached as I pushed in the pin. I am not sure I connected the white and red, I may have slipped off the with and sank into the red.
I checked my codes and found
B0502 RH DRL relay circuit
B0507 LH DRL relay circuit
B2482 Backup relay circuit
Before checking I did pull every fuse inside and out and found all to be good.
Also BO-RFA no comm.
HVAC- no comm.
I am going to go back and make sure all the fuses I pulled are in correctly (but I think they are).
I do own the shop manuals but don't understand the electrical section, i don't have a clue where to start.
Further research reveals I was probing the wrong bundle of wires. The ones I screwed up go to the light stalk. I guess that accounts for the codes about the DRL codes. I was able to erase those codes, but the lights still don't come on.
Can anyone point me in the right direction??
Gratefully yours,
Jay B

I updated my original post with some new info. I was working with the wrong bundle of wires. The cut in the red wire is very small I put a dab of liquid tap on it to seal it.
Even though I screwed up the bundle going to the light switch (and other steering column stuff), I don't know why the HVAC will not come on and I am getting a no comm code for it.

I have been reading the manual though every other instruction is to hook up a scan tool (which I don't have). But on the trouble shooting part of the HVAC section it did say one cause of getting a "no comm" warning was low voltage. Then another cause could be the interior temp sensor is grounded. I will check the sensor tomorrow when I have more light. But I did not take the lower panel all the way off. It is hanging from side by the sensor, so it could be grounded. But I am thinking the unit should at least light up.
Keep the suggestions coming I will report back tomorrow.
this is a good one- http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...t=HVAC+no+comm
