I bled the back brakes, refilled the mc but both lights are on now. BTW, this is on my 97 Dodge van(only rears are anti-lock). I unhooked the battery thinking maybe the pcm needed to be reset. I put new shoes on the back last week and everything was fine, then bled them again Sunday. MC is full. Is there something else I am missing? Brakes work fine, just lights are on. Any clues?
I believe that when you bled the last wheel the ABS switch moved to one side insted of being in the neutral possition. Have someone sit in the car and apply the brake. Open the bleeder slightly on one wheel to see if that centers the valve and the light goes off. If not move to the next wheel and repeet. The fluid flowing to one side simulating a leak is what caused the light to come one.
You guys are awesome! On the way home, I stopped and got the van from my wife. When I got in the neighborhood, I locked it down twice. After the second time, both lights went out! I may try to bleed them properly one more time. BTW, my 3 yr old daughter was in her car seat - she loved it .
