if you dont have race headers you need to get some block off plates for the air tubes. you can make em if you have a grinder.

once you remove the air tubes that connect to the headers follow the rubber hose down and you will see the pump, unbolt and thats it very easy.

I removed the air pump that is under the driver side headlight. There is a panel that you can remove from under the car.I also plugged the vacuum line at the pump and taped up the wires.I also removed all the hoses and pipes.I had to remove the intake manifold to get to the bolt at the rear of the driver side head.I removed the pcm codes that had to do with the air pump with HPTuners.

Thats about it, make sure the tuner turns off the primary AND secondary injection pump.

Good thread. I am about to install my kooks race headers, will I be ok after the install even with the code until I can get it programmed out?

I may need to drive it a couple days after the install and air pump removal, before I can get it programmed out....any issues I should be aware of with this plan?
